Named after Dr. D. Ering, Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Arunachal Pradesh and home to several migratory birds. It has large water bodies; thus, migratory birds from Mongolia and Siberia are often seen here.

Dibru Saikhowa National Park, situated in Assam, is a river Island national park where you can find many endangered species of flora and fauna. The national park is divided into seven parts, of which only one is a wetland, and the rest six parts are covered in grasslands as well as dense forests. Sundarbans is one of the most prominent tourist attractions in West Bengal. Here you can find the largest mangrove forests in the world. Perched at a height of 3000 feet above the sea level, Balpakram National Park is situated in the southern Garo hills in the state of Meghalaya. Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park, commonly called Orang National Park is famous for housing one-horned Rhinos, Bengal tigers, porcupines, civets, water buffaloes, leopards, etc. You will also be able to find myriad birds here such as white pelicans, kingfishers, woodpeckers, fishing eagles, mallards, to name a few. It is also a breeding ground for several types of fish.

Apart from being a national park, Manas National Park is a Biosphere Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, and an Elephant Reserve, located in the state of Assam. You can take elephant safari here and spot tigers and rhinos.
