1. Orchha Fort

Orchha Fort is one of the places to visit in Orchha. Perched on the banks of River Betwa, the fort dates back to the 16th century and was built by Bundela Rudra Pratap Singh. It took several years to complete this fort.   The key attraction of this fort is the Light and Sound show. The entry fee for Indians is INR 10 and for foreign tourists, the entry fee is INR 250.

2. Jahangir Mahal

Many people call it Jahangir Palace instead of Mahal, which was built in the 17th century A.D. by Vir Singh Deo. The palace was built as a gesture of warm reception of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. It is a three-storied structure where you can find hanging balconies and porches. The domes of the palace were built as per the Timurid customs. The grand Iwans are so big that the war elephants easily got inside. For Indian visitors, the entry fee is INR 20, while the foreign visitors have to pay INR 300.

3. Ram Raja Temple

One of the best things to do in Orchha is visiting Ram Raja Temple. Once upon a time, it was a palace for the ruler Madhukar Shah. Today it is the only temple in the country where Lord Rama is worshipped as King Rama. You do not have to pay any fee to enter this temple.

4. Raja Mahal

Also popularly called Raja Mandir, this palace was built by Rudra Pratap Singh. The construction of this palace was started in the 16th century and ended in the 17th century. You can find lavish balconies here. You can also find murals and mirrors on the ceilings and walls of the palace. The palace is appreciated for its luxurious interior. The Indian tourists have to pay INR 5, while foreign visitors have to pay INR 250.

5. Phool Bagh

Another tourist attraction in Orchha that you must visit is Phool Bagh. The verdant greenery and fountains here add beauty to the attraction. The garden was visited by the Kings of Orchha for the summer retreat. Phool Bagh was built as a memorial for Prince Dinman Hardaul, who committed suicide to prove himself innocent to his elder brother.

6. Lakshmi Narayan Temple

Lakshmi Narayan Temple is also one of the top attractions in Orchha. The temple is known for its beautiful architecture and is dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi. It was built in the 16th century by Bir Singh Deo. Once you are here, you can see the finest artwork of Orchha Wall paintings. There is no need to pay any entry fee.

7. Chattris (Cenotaphs)

Located on the bank of River Betwa, Chattris or Cenotaphs are also one of the things that you must not miss out on visiting. There are around 14 Chattris here that are grouped in a row by the Kanchan Ghat of the River Betwa. It is a sign of respect to the mighty rulers of Bundelkhand. The Chattris are basically the tombs of the kings that are elevated on the platforms and the pillars support them. The style of architecture and the beautiful design here makes Chattris a much sought-after attraction in Orchha.

8. Chaturbhuj Temple

The Chaturbhuj Temple was built in 875 AD during the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty. Hindu deity Lord Vishnu is worshipped in this temple. The temple is divided into three sections, and the central position is the tallest, which is around 4-storied. Along with devotees, this temple is also visited by tourists.

9. Dauji Ki Haveli

Dauji ki Haveli is yet another tourist attraction in Orchha. It is a ruined structure with a large area. The haveli was built in the 17th century. Apart from history aficionados, this attraction is also often visited by photography enthusiasts.

10. Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary

If you are fond of wildlife, you will love this place. Spread across an area of 46 sq. km, the Wildlife Sanctuary was established in the year 1994. You can spot animals here such as Tigers, Leopards, Monkeys, Jackals, etc. You can also spot various species of migrating birds at this Wildlife Sanctuary. Indian tourists need to pay INR 15 as an entry fee, and for foreign tourists, the entry fee is INR 150.
