1. Khusro Bagh

Khusro Bagh belonged to the family of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. You can find four tombs here and are spread over an area of 40 acres of land. This is a burial ground of Prince Khusro, who was the eldest son of Emperor Jahangir; Shah Begum, the first wife of Emperor Jahangir; Nesa Begum, sister of Prince Khusro; and the fourth tomb belongs to an unknown origin called Tamolon. Today, it is one of the most important places to visit in Allahabad, which you must include in your bucket-list.

2. Triveni Sangam

Triveni Sangam is the place where three famous rivers in India, Yamuna, Ganga, and Saraswati meet. This is a sacred spot for the followers of the Hindu religion as they consider these three rivers holy. You can differentiate the three rivers by their colors here. Many people take a dip in the water at Triveni Sangam as they believe that doing so will wash away their sins.

3. Anand Bhawan

This is the home of India’s first-ever Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Visiting this house, you can see the room where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay and also the library with a heap of books stored in it. 4. Allahabad Museum

Allahabad Museum is one of the well-organized museums in the entire country. You can find a huge collection of artifacts here. This museum is also famous for being the only one in India that generates its own energy with solar power.

5. Allahabad Fort

The Allahabad Fort dates back to 1583 and is believed to have been built by Ashoka the Great. The fort is known for its architectural brilliance and you can even find Ashoka Pillar here. The fort is taken care of by the Indian Army now.

6. All Saints Cathedral

Called Patthar Girja by the locals, All Saints Cathedral was built in the British era. Apart from being one of the oldest attractions in the city, the church is also known for its Gothic-style architecture and unique carvings, and glasswork. People often visit this place to seek peace.

7. Chandra Shekhar Azad Park

Also known as Alfred Park, it is precisely the place where the great freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad shot himself to evade capture by the British during the freedom movement. In his memory and honor, a statue of him was erected at the same spot. There are other two statutes in the park, of Queen Victoria and George V.

8. Fun Gaon Park
