Bhangarh fort’s entry fee for Indian tourists is INR 40 and INR 200 for foreigners. The opening time of Bhangarh Fort is 10 am to 5 pm. Last but not the least, the best time to travel to Bhangarh is during the winter season when the weather is pleasant.

Bhangarh ka Kila or Bhangarh Fort is one of the main attractions in Rajasthan. People who believe in the supernatural or the ones who get spooked out but kind of like the feeling mostly visit this place. Bhangarh Fort in the Alwar district is known for the presence of paranormal activities here. The fort was built in the 16th century by Bhagwant Das for his younger son, Madho Singh. One of the unique things about this place is that the houses here have no roof. It is said that the place was cursed by a sage. People also say that if you put your ears close to the walls of the houses here, you can listen to voices.

1. Bala Quila Fort

Also known as Alwar Fort, Bala Quila Fort was built by Hasan Khan Mewati in the 15th century. This fort is connected to Alwar city by the metalled road, Laxman Pole. Located on a 300m cliff, you can see this fort even from the city itself. There are six gates of this fort, which are named Chand Pol, Jai Pol, Krishen Pol Suraj Pol, Laxman Pol, and Andheri Gate. On the walls here you can find sculptures and scriptures.

2. Siliserh Lake Palace

The palace is spread over an area of 7 sq. km and is one of the most beautiful things that you can see here. The palace lately has been converted into a heritage hotel by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC). This is a great place to stay if you are looking for royal treatment. Apart from the fabulous hospitality, you can also witness several species of migratory birds here and the view of the Aravalli range is breathtaking.

3. Sariska National Park

There was a time when Sariska National Park was the hunting ground of the Maharaja of Alwar. Now it is one of the favorite places for wildlife lovers. You must carry your camera if you are visiting this place. You never know you might even come across the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers.

Timings: October – February: 7 am – 4 pm; March – September: 6 am – 5 pm

4. Moti Dungri

Moti Dungri is popular for its uniqueness as both the Hindu and Muslim communities visit this place for prayer. Both Sankat Mochan Vir Hanuman Mandir and Sayyed Darbar are on the same premises, and there is not even a wall in between these two. You can listen to the Bhajans that are played in the morning on loudspeakers, and Qawali in the evening. This is a place that should be visited by everyone who visits Alwar.

5. Sariska Palace

The Sariska Palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Alwar in 1892. The palace covers an area of 120 acres and looks truly gorgeous. This palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh as a hunting lodge for himself as well as for his guests. It has now been converted into a 5-star hotel. Staying at this hotel is one of a kind of experience that everybody would love to have. You will not only receive generous hospitality here but can also enjoy the splendid view.

6. Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple

Located at the premises of Sariska Tiger Reserve, Neelkanth Mahadeo Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is basically a cluster of several temples and you can find most of them in ruins. The stone carvings and verdant forests here are something worth witnessing.

7. City Palace

Also called Vinay Vilas Mahal, City Palace is an architectural marvel in Alwar that you should not miss out on visiting. You can find beautiful mirror work and murals here, along with 15 imposing towers and 51 smaller towers. Do not forget to visit the museum here to see the royal memorabilia.

There are several things to do in Bhangarh and the nearby attractions. However, you cannot completely depend upon public transport. For a better experience of the trip, you can go for a self-drive car rental service. Simply take a car on rent from Revv and start your trip at your convenience.
