1. Gir

Gir is one of the famous destinations in winter in Gujarat that you must visit. We all know why Gir is famous. And if you are already excited about witnessing the majestic Asiatic Lions, you must take a tour of this national park. Gir National Park is spread across an area of 1412 sq km. You can enjoy a safari on the open-top jeeps here. Make sure you click lots of photographs of the regal animal.

2. Rann of Kutch

If you have not visited Rann of Kutch yet, you have not seen a truly beautiful thing in your life. It is certainly one of the top attractions in Gujarat during winters, and for all good reasons. Rann of Kutch is perched between the Arabian Sea and the Thar Desert and is popular for the white salt bed. If you can manage to visit the place on a full moon night, the white desert dazzles like diamonds and looks absolutely soothing. During the winter months, many cultural programs are held, especially on full moon nights. You can also find tents that have been pitched during that time. One of the unique things that you can find at Rann of Kutch during winters is the flock of flamingoes that migrate from Siberia. You will also be able to attend the very popular Rann Mahotsav where you can witness dance, music, cultural shows, camel safari and try several delicious Gujrati cuisines.

3. Saputara

Gujarat in winter is pleasant, while Saputara, the only hill station in the state is comparatively colder. So, if you want to breathe fresh air and wear some warm clothes, you should visit Saputara on your trip to Gujarat. You can find dense forests and a gigantic lake here. Some of the attractions that you cannot miss out on visiting are the artisan village, boat club, tribal museum, cable car, etc. This is a wonderful place to unwind yourself.

4. Laxmi Vilas Palace

Laxmi Vilas Palace is one of the best places to visit in Gujarat. The palace was established by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III and once was the largest residence unit in the world. The palace is spread across an area of 700 acres and houses many palaces and museums. The architecture of the palace is worth appreciating and gives us a good idea of the taste of the royal family here. The royal family of Vadodara still lives here and a part of the palace is open for public visits.

5. Dwarka

Dwarka is one of the char dhams and a very important place for the Hindu community. This city is considered to be the kingdom of Lord Krishna. Apart from the temple visit here, you can also visit the tranquil beach here. You can see sea urchins, sea turtles, starfish, and octopuses here.

6. Rani Ki Vav

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rani ki Vav was built by Queen Udayamatu in the 11th century in memory of her King Bhimdev I. It is a step-well that will take you down to seven levels. You can find over 1500 sculptures here. The amazing fact about this step-well is that it has recently been discovered since it was flooded by River Saraswati for many years. Recently, it was excavated and became a popular tourist attraction.

7. Bhuj

Bhuj is a popular city in Gujarat that is frequented by tourists from across the country. It is an old city in the country and has its roots in the early 16th century. During that time, it was an independent state. The city houses ancient monuments like Cenotaphs Complex which has tombs of the royal family. The two major attractions in Bhuj are the magnificent Prag Mahal and the Aina Mahal which have their interiors ornamented in mirrors. The other attractions are Hamirsar Lake, Kutch Museum, and Shiva Temple in Kera.
